A decade of vegan baking and six years of running a vegan bakery in three different cities has brought me here. I developed a lot of recipes for my bakery, Prairie Vegan. But pie is what started it all! Some bakers live for cake. Not me: Pie is my passion. It’s an American icon. It’s my favorite thing to bake, and let’s be honest - it’s everyone’s favorite thing to eat. Nothing beats the feeling of serving a fully-from-scratch pie; even better when it's cruelty-free. When my family made the decision to move to Norway I could not let these delicious recipes sit on a shelf. I now want to share my years of vegan pie-making knowledge with the world. Pie is approachable. Even a wonky pie can look (and taste) amazing. But with this course I will show you how to make the best pie you've ever made, both beautiful AND incredibly delicious! The Nitty Gritty: -This course is beginner-friendly -No special equipment needed, just a rolling pin and pie pan -Simple ingredients easy to access anywhere in the world -A food scale is preferred but not necessary -Pie weights of some kind: you can use dry beans or rice if you don't have weights There's step-by-step Video Tutorials so you can see what the dough looks like at each step. As well as a Course Handbook detailing everything you need to know with lots of tips along the way. I've broken up the process into three sections so you don't have to do all of the steps from start to finish in one go. Making a pie can be broken up over several days, so it's easy to fit it into your schedule doing a little bit at a time.
