Super simple ingredients...you probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry. And it's easy to adapt to your preferences. Need it nut-free? Leave out the walnuts. Love raisins? Add them in! Not able to get vegan cream cheese or butter? No problem, it's easy to make a vanilla frosting or even icing (powdered sugar and water) Need it gluten free? Swap the flour for a quality 1:1 gf flour. Want to reduce the sugar? Go ahead (but this could affect the texture a little). No equipment? I actually prefer to whisk cake by hand. It makes them fluffy and no worry of overworking the batter.
